PR Firm Recognized for Media Relations
DES MOINES (April 2, 2004) - Hanser & Associates won a
2004 PRIME Award of Merit for College Savings Iowa’s 2003 year-end
public relations campaign at the Public Relations Institute Mark of
Excellence (PRIME) ceremony in West Des Moines.
The award in the Media Relations
category was presented April 1 by the Public Relations Society of America,
"Being honored with this award is great,” said
Ronald Hanser, APR, President of Hanser & Associates. “But being
recognized for helping College Savings Iowa deliver, via news media, the
message about saving for college is even greater,”
ABOUT COLLEGE SAVINGS
In 2003, Kiplinger’s
Personal Finance and Money Magazine
named College Savings Iowa among the top 529 plans in the nation. The
program lets anyone - parents, grandparents, friends and relatives -
invest for college on behalf of a child. Investors do not need to be a
state resident and can use their 529 savings to pay for qualified higher
education expenses, including tuition, books, supplies, and room and board
at any college, university, community college, or accredited technical
training school in the United States. College Savings Iowa reached $750
million in assets under management earlier this month, a 25 percent
increase since November 2003.
