Hanser & Associates Wins Two Top PR Awards in PRSA Regional Competition; Des Moines PR Firm Recognized for Internal Communication and Community Relations
Hanser & Associates received an Award of Merit in the Internal Communication Program category for the audit and measurable improvement of communications for the Iowa Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church (IAUMC). The West Des Moines firm was retained by the Church last year to improve communication among United Methodists across Iowa. After conducting a statewide communications audit of church members, pastors, local church leadership and district superintendents, Hanser & Associates' recommendations were adopted by church leadership. The PR firm was then asked to implement some of those changes - including a new Web site (www.iaumc.org) and a new publication to inform local members and drive traffic to the Web site for additional information. Hanser & Associates was recognized for reducing printing costs, improving timeliness of news and fourfold increase in traffic to the organization's Web site. PRSA also presented Hanser & Associates an Award of Merit in the Community Relations Program category for the Business:Media Index TM that the firm conceived, conducted and funded last year. The first survey of its kind in Iowa, the research was developed to evaluate the relationship between business and media in the state. The benchmark survey announced January 23, 2001 found that business executives and media in Iowa trust each other, agreed on several sensitive issues, and there is promise for improving the relationship. "Awards are nice, but top PR service for satisfied clients is the most important measurement of Hanser & Associates' success," said Ronald Hanser, APR, President of Hanser & Associates. "Delivering results for clients continues to help us grow, and that's why eight new clients retained us as their public relations agency of record since January 1, 2001," Hanser added. Hanser & Associates is a group of public relations specialists that helps companies build and maintain relationships with the people who are important to their future. The firm is ranked among the top independent PR firms in Midwest cities. More information is available at www.hanser.com. -30-
