Feature Gardens Bring International Flair to 2008 Des Moines Home & Garden Show

DES MOINES, Iowa (January 29, 2008) – Des Moines Home & Garden Show landscapers will be taking visitors around the world with this year’s internationally themed gardens. The participating landscapers and themes are:

• Country Landscapes – Lounge in a hammock, dip your toes in the sand and enjoy lush tropical flowers in this Mexican garden.

• Just Add Water – Stroll through rural Canada in a wooded backyard including a soothing woodland stream.

• Water Designs – Feel at peace in a Mediterranean water world with fantastic water features and beautiful stone work.

• A+ Lawn & Landscape – Throw a coin in the fountain and smell the roses while visiting the patio of this Italian garden.

• Advanced Landscape Solutions – Paper lanterns, Buddha statues and a variety of pines will make this Japanese garden a peaceful retreat.

The gardens will take each company three days to complete and will be ready to view and enjoy Feb. 6-10.
