Local Celebrities Go Green at the 2008 Des Moines Home & Garden Show

DES MOINES, Iowa (January 29, 2008) – Local media personalities have been matched with the area’s top designers to create stunning model rooms for the 2008 Des Moines Home & Garden Show, February 6-10 at the Iowa Events Center.

The rooms reflect the personal style of the celebrity while highlighting the latest green living and design trends. Celebrity room participants are:

Hatfield, McCoy and Kourtney of 92.5 KJJY with Barb Watson of Interiors by Decorating Den will design a media/entertainment room that is environmentally and family friendly.
Van & Bonnie of 1040 AM WHO with Linda Tweedy of Charles Home Furnishings will design a home office with an Italian Renaissance library feel.
Cynthia Fodor of KCCI-TV with Linda Glantz of Linda Glantz Interiors will design a tropical sunroom with an oceanfront scene.
Deeya of Capital 106.3 with Katie Wengert of Sticks will design a listening room that features recycled products and serves as a multi-purpose room.
Lou, Round Guy and Heather of 95 KGGO with Jane Curl of Jane Curl Interiors will design a living room with a sports memorabilia theme.
Sara Kelley of WOI-TV with Tanya Keith of Simply for Giggles will design a weather related kid’s room.

Show visitors are encouraged to vote for their favorite room. The winning celebrity will receive $500 to donate to his or her favorite charity.
