Megabus.com launches mobile alerts for customers

Express bus service first to use automated voice messages notifying customers of delays

Chicago (Sept. 19, 2008) – Megabus.com, an intercity express bus service offering fares as low as $1, today announced its new mobile alert system, which allows the company to alert customers of delays and other service disruptions via automated voice message.

Megabus.com customer service will initiate the mobile alert system to notify customers of delays or any other service disruption. Customers can sign up for the mobile alert system at www.megabus.com while booking a trip.

Currently, only five percent of megabus.com arrivals and departures are delayed but megabus.com believes it is important to communicate quickly with passengers regarding delays.

“Megabus.com continues to lead the industry with innovative solutions to enhance the travel experience for their customers,” said Dale Moser, president and COO of megabus.com. “The addition of the mobile alert system reinforces our commitment to delivering safe, reliable, value added, express bus service to all megabus.com customers.”
