Q1: How do I get the $1 fare?
A: The $1 fare will be available on all megabus.com trips. Consumers can
increase their chances of purchasing tickets for $1 by booking
early.

Q2: It seems as though fares on megabus.com drop significantly when
people book in advance. Is there a set discount for booking in advance?

A: Customers are offered very competitive ticket rates at all times. Booking in advance will save passengers money and fares will vary based on your booking date.

Q3: Are there discounts for booking multiple travelers and groups?
A: There are no plans for bulk ticket purchase at this time, but megabus.com customers will always receive very competitive fares.

Q4: Do I get a ticket?
A: Megabus.com services are ticketless and accessible from the Web site via www.megabus.com. After booking, you will receive an e-ticket reservation number, which you will present to the megabus.com driver.

Q5: How many tickets can I purchase at a time?
A: Consumers may purchase as many tickets as are available.

Q6: Is there Wi-Fi available on board?
A: Yes. Megabus.com offers free Wi-Fi onboard all buses.

Q7: Do children pay on megabus.com?
A: Children under the age of 3 years are carried free, however they are not guaranteed a seat when traveling on megabus.com unless a specific seat has been purchased for them and a reference number provided.

Q8: How far in advance can I book my travel?
A: The range of booking dates varies. The Web site will display how far out dates are available.

Q9: Can I take my bike?
A: Megabus.com buses are unable to carry bicycles.

Q10: Can I take my pet?
A: Animals are not permitted on megabus.com buses with the exception of assistance animals for people with disabilities.

Q11: Do your buses accommodate customers in wheelchairs?
A: Yes, with 48 hours advance notice.

Q12: Are there lavatories on megabus.com buses?
A: Yes.

Q13: Is megabus.com receiving any federal or state funding?

A: No, megabus.com is entirely funded as a private venture.

Q14: Can I change my reservation?
A: Yes – Reservations can be changed more than 24 hours before the trip you had initially reserved is scheduled to depart. A US$1 fee (50¢ change fee and 50¢ new reservation fee) is charged for all changed reservations. The cost of the initial reservation will be credited against the subsequent reservation.

Q15: How can I find out if my bus is delayed?
A: Customers can sign up for megabus.com’s Phone Alert System which uses a voice messaging system to alert travelers of delays or other service disruptions. This service is offered as a convenience and we cannot guarantee that Phone Alerts will be broadcasted for each cancellation or severe delay.

Q16: How much luggage can I bring with me?
A: Passengers are advised that megabus.com will accept up to one piece of luggage per passenger. For guidance this should be no more than the size of a standard suitcase and should not weigh more than 50 pounds. Passengers can also take on board one small piece of luggage that will fit in the overhead storage compartment.

Q17: What if I miss my bus?
A: Much like the airline industry, all seats on megabus.com are sold on a reservation basis and you must travel at your specified time and date. Passengers are required to be at their departure point at least 15 minutes before their selected trip is scheduled to depart. No refunds or credits will be given in instances where passengers miss the bus.

Q18: How do I reach customer service?
A: Customers can contact customer service at 1-877-462-6342 or you can send an email to inquiries@megabus.com.

Q19: Where do megabus.com services arrive and depart on the Northeast?
A: Customers may take megabus.com services to and from the following
locations:

Albany: Arrivals and departures are located near the Albany-Rensselaer Amtrak Station on the west side of East Street, just south of Herrick Street.

Atlantic City: Arrivals and departures are located Arrivals and departures are located in the bus transportation centers of various Atlantic City casinos. See Web site for details.

Baltimore: Arrivals and departures are located on the south side of the White Marsh Park & Ride lot, located in the northern suburbs of Baltimore near the intersection of White Marsh Boulevard and Honeygo Boulevard.

Boston: Arrivals and departures are located at the bus loop on the east side of the Back Bay Rail Station.

Buffalo: Arrivals and departures are located at the bus lane on the east side of the Buffalo Niagara International Airport terminal building on the arrivals level.

New York: Arrivals and departures are located adjacent to Penn Station, on the north side of West 31st Street at the northeast corner of 31st Street and 8th Avenue.
Arrivals and departures from/to Atlantic City are located inside the South Wing of the Port Authority Bus Terminal at gate 1. The Port Authority Bus Terminal is located at 8th Avenue and West 40th Street.

Philadelphia: Arrivals and departures are located on the south side of John F. Kenney Boulevard, near North 30th Street and the west entrance to the 30th Street Station. The 30th Street SEPTA Station is located nearby at the corner of Market Street and North 30th Street.

Arrivals and departures are located on the northeast corner of 5th Street and Market Street, adjacent to the Independence Visitor Center.

Rochester: Arrivals and departures are located at entrance #3 of the Eastview Shopping Center (near Sears). The mall is located on Route 96 and can be accessed from exit 45 off the NY State Thruway or exit 28 off Route 490 East.

Syracuse: Arrivals and departures are located at the curbside in front of the William F Walsh Regional Transportation Center on the north side of the city. Connections are available to the CENTRO regional bus system.

Toronto: Arrivals and departures are located on the east side of York Street, north of Front Street and directly adjacent to the west entrance of the Royal York Hotel. Rail connections are available at Union Station, which is located on Front Street.

Washington D.C.: Arrivals and departures are located in the southwest corner of the public parking lot located at the intersection of 9th Street NW and H Street NW.

Q20: Where do megabus.com services arrive and depart in the Midwest?
A: Customers may take megabus.com services to and from the following
locations:

Ann Arbor: Arrivals and departures are located at the University of Michigan’s State Street Commuter Park & Ride lot on the west side of South State Street about half a mile north of East Eisenhower Parkway. The stop is located on the east side of the lot between the entrance and exit.

Bloomington/Normal: Arrivals and departures are located in the parking lot on the south side of Parkinson Street near the Amtrak Terminal building.

Champaign: Arrivals and departures are located at the Illinois Terminal Building at the 180 S. Market Street at the intersection of S. Market St. and Logan St.

Chicago:
Arrivals and departures are located on the east side of South Canal Street (across from Union Station between West Jackson Blvd. and West Adams St.).

Cincinnati: Arrivals and departures are located on 7th St. West between College St. and Vine St.

Another stop is located on Race St. between W. 4th St. and W. 5th St.

Cleveland: Arrivals and departures are located on West Huron Rd. and West 3rd St. (adjacent to Tower City).

Columbia: Arrivals and departures are located at the Wabash Terminal, 126 North 10th St.

Columbus: Columbus’ downtown stop for arrivals and departures is located at the COTA Express Transit Terminal at West Spring Street and North Wall Street.

Another stop is located at Ohio State University on the loop at the end of Neil Drive, adjacent to the McCorkle Aquatics Pavilion – Neil Drive is northwest of the intersection of W. 12th Avenue and Neil Avenue.

Detroit: Arrivals and departures are located on Cass Ave. (between North of Warren Avenue adjacent to Wayne State University campus and Putnam Street.).

Another stop is located at Grand Circus Park (south side of Park Avenue, between Woodward Avenue and Washington, at the Grand Circus Park People Mover Station).

Indianapolis: Arrivals and departures are located at 200 E. Washington Ave. (at Delaware St.).

Kansas City: Arrivals and departures are located at the bus shelter on the west side of the KCATA Transit Center at the intersection of 10th Street and Main Street.

Madison: Arrivals and departures are located at the Dutch Mill Park and Ride, Highway 51 and Broadway.

Memphis: Arrivals and departures are located at the MATA North End Terminal at the intersection of Main and Auction.

Milwaukee: Arrivals and departures are located at W. St. Paul Ave. (Union Station between 5th St. and 4th St.).

Minneapolis: Arrivals and departures are located at the 4th St. Parking Garage (West Side of North 3rd Ave. between 5th St. North and North Washington Ave.).

Another stop is located at the University of Minnesota (Southeast University Ave. Ramp – south side of University Ave. between SE 19th Ave. and Walnut St. SE)

St. Louis: Arrivals and departures are located on Market Street (Union Station) between South 20th St. and South 18th St.

Toledo: Arrivals and departures are located at the TARTA bus stop and shelter at the south side of the Southwyck Shopping Center, at the corner of Southwyck and Cheyenne Blvds.
