West Des Moines PR firm wins national award

NEW YORK (June 5, 2009) — Hanser & Associates, a West Des Moines-based national public relations firm, beat out companies from across North America to win a Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation at the Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) awards ceremony last night in New York City.

News video created by the firm for Chicago-based megabus.com won one of the top three awards in the B-Roll category.

The video ran on 59 television stations nationwide, including CNN and NBC affiliates, seen by more than 16 million viewers. The news coverage resulted in 37,000 additional visitors to megabus.com’s Web site—and strong ticket sales—on the day of the news.

Bronze Anvil is the “Oscar” of PR. Hanser & Associates previously won Bronze Anvils in 2005 and 2001, and was the first Iowa-based PR firm to win the award.
