DES MOINES, Iowa (Feb. 17, 2009) – The Des Moines Home & Garden Show announced today the winner of the 2009 Des Moines Home & Garden Show celebrity room design contest.

WHO 1040 radio hosts Van Harden and Bonnie Lucas won for their collaboration with Tanya Keith of Simply for Giggles. Van and Bonnie worked with Tanya to design a children’s room complete with a wall mural and lofted princess bed.

Show visitors were asked to vote for their favorite celebrity room throughout the Des Moines Home & Garden Show, held Feb. 12-15, with the winning celebrity to receive $500 to donate to their favorite charity.

Van and Bonnie will be donating the $500 to Blank Children’s hospital. All room furnishings will be donated to a child in need. The winning child will be announced on-air on Thursday, Feb. 19.
